एरण्डमूलकल्केन पुटपाके पचेत्ततः । स्विन्नं प्रक्षालितं शुष्कं चूर्णितं पोटलीकृतम् ॥ १२ ॥

It is then wrapped and cooked using the puṭapāka method (sealed in leaves and clay, then heated in fire). Once properly steamed/cooked (svinna), it is washed clean, dried, pulverized into a fine powder, and tied securely inside a cloth bundle or poultice (poṭalī).
