या नोपरुन्ध्यादाहारमेकं मात्रास्य सा स्मृता । षष्टिकः पयसा चात्र जीर्णे भोजनमिष्यते ॥ २१ ॥
The ideal dose (mātrā) is that amount which does not obstruct or suppress even a single regular meal. Once the medicine is properly digested, the person should partake of ṣaṣṭika rice along with milk as their diet.
