छायाविशुष्कं गुटिकार्धमद्यात्पूर्वं समस्तामपि तां क्रमेण । भजेद्विरिक्तः क्रमशश्च मण्डं पेयां विलेपीं रसकौदनं च ॥ १६६ ॥
First, half a pill should be consumed, and then the dose is gradually increased until all the pills are taken. After undergoing purgation, the person should sequentially consume manda (rice water), peya (thin gruel), vilepi (thick gruel), and boiled rice mixed with meat soup, processed with ghee to make it unctuous.

chAyAvizuSkaM guTikArdhamadyAtpUrvaM samastAmapi tAM krameNa । bhajedviriktaH kramazazca maNDaM peyAM vilepIM rasakaudanaM ca ॥ 166 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसर्पिःस्निग्धं मासमेकं यतात्मा मासादूर्ध्वं सर्वथा स्वैरवृत्तिः । वर्ज्यं यत्नात्सर्वकालं त्वजीर्णं वर्षेणैवं योगमेवोपयुञ्ज्यात् ॥ १६७ ॥
This self-controlled dietary regimen should be followed for one month. After one month, one may follow a diet according to their preference while taking great care to avoid indigestion at all times. This formulation should be used in this manner for a period of one year.

sarpiHsnigdhaM mAsamekaM yatAtmA mAsAdUrdhvaM sarvathA svairavRttiH । varjyaM yatnAtsarvakAlaM tvajIrNaM varSeNaivaM yogamevopayuJjyAt ॥ 167 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभवति विगतरोगो योऽप्यसाध्यामयार्तः प्रबलपुरुषकारः शोभते योऽपि वृद्धः । उपचितपृथुगात्रश्रोत्रनेत्रादियुक्तस्तरुण इव समानां पञ्च जीवेच्छतानि ॥ १६८ ॥
By doing so, even a person suffering from incurable conditions becomes free from disease, gains immense physical prowess, and an old person shines like a youth with a well-built, broad physique and keen senses (such as hearing and vision), living for five hundred years.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptगायत्रीशिखिशिंशिपासनशिवावेल्लाक्षकारुष्करान् पिष्ट्वाऽष्टादशसङ्गुणेऽम्भसि धृतान् खण्डैः सहायोमयैः । पात्रे लोहमये त्र्यहं रविकरैरालोडयन् पाचयेदग्नौ चानु मृदौ सलोहशकलं पादस्थितं तत्पचेत् ॥ १६९ ॥
gāyatrī – Acacia catechu, śikhi – Plumbago zeylanica, śiṃśipa – Dalbergia sissoo, asana – Pterocarpus marsupium, śivā – Terminalia chebula, vella – Embelia ribes, akṣaka – Terminalia bellirica, aruṣkarān – and Semecarpus anacardium; the above ingredients are taken in equal quantities and made into a paste. It is added with 18 parts of water along with pieces of iron, taken in an iron vessel, and kept under sunlight while being stirred constantly with an iron ladle for three days. Afterwards, it is cooked over a mild fire along with the iron piece until reduced to one-fourth, and then filtered.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptपूतस्यांशः क्षीरतोंऽशस्तथांशौ भार्गान्निर्यासाद्द्वौ वरायास्त्रयोंऽशाः । अंशाश्चत्वारश्चेह हैयङ्गवीनादेकीकृत्यैतत्साधयेत्कृष्णलौहे ॥ १७० ॥
To one part of this filtered decoction, one part of milk, two parts of the extract/decoction of bhārgī – Clerodendrum serratum, three parts of the decoction of varā (Triphala – Amalaki, Haritaki, Vibhitaki), and four parts of fresh butter are added together and cooked in a black iron vessel to prepare the herbal ghee.
