मूर्छादयोऽल्पाः प्रथमे द्वितीये त्वतिबाधकाः । क्लिष्टान्त्रः संशयी देही छिन्नान्त्रो नैव जीवति ॥ ४१ ॥

in the first fainting etc. are mild and in the second they are very troublesome; in Klistantra, life of the person is doubtful (may survive or may not survive) but in Chinnantra, the person does not survive at all.

english translation

mUrchAdayo'lpAH prathame dvitIye tvatibAdhakAH । kliSTAntraH saMzayI dehI chinnAntro naiva jIvati ॥ 41 ॥

यथास्वं मार्गमापन्ना यस्य विण्मूत्रमारुताः । व्युपद्रवः स भिन्नेऽपि कोष्ठे जीवत्यसंशयम् ॥ ४२ ॥

The person though wounded in the internal organs surely survives when the feces, urine and flatus begun to come out in their normal passages and when other complications get relieved.

english translation

yathAsvaM mArgamApannA yasya viNmUtramArutAH । vyupadravaH sa bhinne'pi koSThe jIvatyasaMzayam ॥ 42 ॥

अभिन्नमन्त्रं निष्क्रान्तं प्रवेश्यं न त्वतोऽन्यथा । उत्पङ्गिलशिरोग्रस्तं तदप्येके वदन्ति तु ॥ ४३ ॥

The intestine which is not wounded and which has come out, should be pushed inside; but not otherwise (if it is wounded); that should be pushed inside only after it is held tight by the head of the big ants thus, say some others.

english translation

abhinnamantraM niSkrAntaM pravezyaM na tvato'nyathA । utpaGgilazirograstaM tadapyeke vadanti tu ॥ 43 ॥

प्रक्षाल्य पयसा दिग्धं तृणशोणितपांसुभिः । प्रवेशयेत्क्लृप्तनखो घृतेनाक्तं शनैः शनैः ॥ ४४ ॥

The intestine contaminated with grass, blood, sand etc. should be washed well with water and the physician with his hands smeared with ghee and nails pared, should push the intestine slowly.

क्षीरेणार्द्रीकृतं शुष्कं भूरिसर्पिःपरिप्लुतम् । अङ्गुल्या प्रमृशेत्कण्ठं जलेनोद्वेजयेदपि ॥ ४५ ॥

The dried intestine should be made wet with milk and the throat pressed (delicately) with fingers anointed with plenty of ghee and the patient should be agitated (shocked) by (sprinkling) water,
