पूतिमांससिरास्नायुच्छन्नतोत्सङ्गिताऽतिरुक् । संरम्भदाहश्वयथुकण्ड्वादिभिरुपद्रुतः ॥ ४ ॥
foul-smelling sloughing meat/muscles (pūti-māṃsa), affected veins and ligaments (sirā-snāyu) covered with deep/undermined tracts (channatotsaṅgitā) and accompanied by severe pain (ati-ruk); afflicted with complications (upadrutaḥ) such as swelling/inflammation (saṃrambha), burning sensation (dāha), edema (śvayathu), itching (kaṇḍū), and the like;
