दोषैरधिष्ठितो दुष्टः शुद्धस्तैरनधिष्ठितः । संवृतत्वं विवृतता काठिन्यं मृदुताऽति वा ॥ २ ॥
Dusta is that in which the doshas are localized and Shuddha is that which is free from localization of the doshas. Either excessive contraction/closure (saṃvṛtatvaṃ) or wide opening/expansion (vivṛtatā); excessive hardness (kāṭhinyaṃ) or extreme softness (mṛdutā 'ti vā);
