अशान्तौ शिरसः शुद्ध्यै यतेत वमनादिभिः । विध्येत्सिरां दारुणके लालाट्यां शीलयेन्मृजाम् ॥ २५ ॥

If the disease does not subside, then attempts should be made to purify the head by emesis and other therapies. In Dāruṇaka (dandruff/seborrheic dermatitis), the vein in the forehead (lālāṭyāṃ sirāṃ) should be venesected/punctured (vidhyet), and habits of cleanliness/hygiene (mṛjām) should be observed regularly (śīlayet).
