तैलप्रस्थं विपचेत्कर्षांशैः पाननस्यगण्डूषैस्तत् । हत्वाऽऽस्ये सर्वगदान् जनयति गार्ध्रीं दृशं श्रुतिं च वाराहीम् ॥ ८६ ॥

one prastha (768 ml) of oil should be cooked (vipacet). This, when used for drinking (pāna / internal oleation), nasal medication (nasya), and holding in the mouth (gaṇḍūṣa), cures all diseases of the mouth (āsye sarvagadān), and bestows vision as keen as an eagle (gārdhrīṃ dṛśaṃ) and hearing as sharp as a boar (śrutiṃ ca vārāhīm).
