अपक्वे तालुपाके तु कासीसक्षौद्रतार्क्ष्यजैः । घर्षणं कवल: शीतकषायमधुरौषधैः ॥ ५१ ॥

In Talupaka which is unripe, the site should be rubbed with the paste of kāsīsa – ferrous sulphate, kṣaudra – honey and tārkṣyajaiḥ – emerald; and gargling the mouth with decoction of herbs of cold and sweet properties.
