अधः प्रतिहतो वायुरर्शोगुल्मकफादिभिः । यात्यूर्ध्वं वक्त्रदौर्गन्ध्यं कुर्वन्नूर्ध्वगुदस्तु सः ॥ ६० ॥

Vata getting obstructed in its downwards movement in the rectum by piles, abnormal tumors, Kapha etc. begins to move upwardsproducing bad smell (fecal smell) in the mouth.This is called as Urdhvaguda.
