If Kapha is predominant, it is slimy, and pale; when arisen from blood, it is studded with eruptions/bleeds, resembling burning coal, produces pain in the ears and has other features of that type caused by Pitta.

kaphena picchilA pANDurasRjA sphoTakAcitA । taptAGgAranibhA karNarukkarI pittajAkRtiH ॥ 44 ॥
