शकृन्नानाव्यथावर्णं मूत्रं पीतं सितं घनम् । ज्वरारोचकतृट्छर्दिशुष्कोद्गारविजृम्भिकाः ॥ २१ ॥
The child's stool exhibits various abnormal colors and is accompanied by multiple types of pain, while the urine becomes yellow, white, and thick. Additionally, fever, anorexia (loss of appetite), morbid thirst, vomiting, dry belching, and excessive yawning develop.

Body-ache (breaking pain in limbs), involuntary tossing of limbs, moaning or intestinal gurgling, tremors, dizziness, and inflammation/ulceration (pāka) of the nose, eyes, and mouth manifest, along with various other complications.

This highly dangerous and severe disorder is designated by sages as Kṣīrālasaka. In this condition, the physician must immediately administer emetic therapy (vāmana) to both the wet-nurse (or mother) and the child.

After completing the graduated post-emesis dietary regimen (saṃsarjana), the Vacādi group or Niśādi group of herbs should be administered. Alternatively, a combination of mādrī (Aconitum heterophyllum), pāṭhā (Cissampelos pareira), tiktā (Swertia chirayita), ghanā (Cyperus rotundus), and āmaya (Saussurea lappa) may be used.

A formulation consisting of pāṭhā (Cissampelos pareira), śuṇṭhī (Zingiber officinale), amṛtā (Tinospora cordifolia), tiktā (Andrographis paniculata), katukā (Picrorhiza kurroa), devāhva (Cedrus deodara), śārivā (Hemidesmus indicus), along with mustā (Cyperus rotundus), mūrvā (Marsdenia tenacissima), and indrayava (seeds of Holarrhena antidysenterica) serves as an excellent purifier of breast milk.
