क्षीरालसकमित्याहुरत्ययं चातिदारुणम् । तत्राशु धात्रीं बालं च वमनेनोपपादयेत् ॥ २३ ॥

This highly dangerous and severe disorder is designated by sages as Kṣīrālasaka. In this condition, the physician must immediately administer emetic therapy (vāmana) to both the wet-nurse (or mother) and the child.
