पूर्वं चेतस् ततो देहस्ततो विस्फोटतृड्भ्रमैः । सदाहमूर्छैर्ग्रस्तस्य प्रत्यहं वर्धते ज्वरः ॥ ४५ ॥

The person whose name is called out (during the acts of sorcery) along with the chanting of hymns, will experience burning (with fever) of his body gets his mind affected first and next the body, followed by appearance of vesicles on the skin, thirst, dizziness, burning sensation and fainting, and the fever increases day after day.

pUrvaM cetas tato dehastato visphoTatRDbhramaiH । sadAhamUrchairgrastasya pratyahaM vardhate jvaraH ॥ 45 ॥
