अस्थिस्थः सक्थिसन्ध्यास्थिशूलं तीव्रं बलक्षयम्। मज्जस्थोऽस्थिषु सौषिर्यमस्वप्नं सन्ततां रुजम् ॥ १२ ॥

Vata afflicting Asthi Dhatu : In the bones Vata causes pain in the thighs, joints and bones, and profound loss of strength. Vata afflicting Majja Dhatu : In the marrow it produces hollowness of the bones, loss of sleep and constant pain.

english translation

asthisthaH sakthisandhyAsthizUlaM tIvraM balakSayam। majjastho'sthiSu sauSiryamasvapnaM santatAM rujam ॥ 12 ॥
