Astanga Hrudaya
शोफस्फुरणनिस्तोदभेदायामार्तिहर्षवान् । पित्ताद्द्रुतगतिः पित्तज्वरलिङ्गोऽतिलोहितः ॥ ४८ ॥
It presents with throbbing, intermittent, piercing, dilating, cutting, and tingling types of pain due to the Vata Dosha. In Visarpa caused by pitta, the spreading is exceptionally quick, features symptoms similar to Pittajwara, and the area is intensely red.
