खडकाम्बलिकौ हृद्यौ तथा वातकफे हितौ । बल्यः कफानिलौ हन्ति दाडिमाम्लोऽग्निदीपनः ॥३७६॥
The preparations "Khaḍakāmbalikā" are pleasant to the heart and beneficial for alleviating Vata and Kapha. They are nourishing, reduce Kapha and Vata, and the sourness of pomegranate enhances digestion.

Curd's sourness increases Kapha, is strengthening, unctuous, reduces Vata, and is heavy to digest. Sour buttermilk is said to aggravate Pitta and contaminate blood and toxins.
