The juice of sugarcane, which does not cause burning, alleviates cough and balances Vata and Pitta doshas. It is beneficial for the mouth, provides satisfaction, and strengthens the body. It is also useful when squeezed from the teeth.

The juice of sugarcane is heavy, causes burning, and is constipating. It is considered mechanical (in its effects) and is beneficial when ripe. It is heavy, fluid, oily, and sharp, and it alleviates Kapha and Vata doshas.
