For each type of digestive fire, the treatments are as follows: For Sama Agni (Balanced Digestive Fire): The treatment involves maintaining balance and protection. For Vishama Agni (Irregular Digestive Fire): Use soothing, sour, and salty treatments to counteract the irregularity. For Teekshna Agni (Intense Digestive Fire): Employ sweet, soothing, and cooling remedies. For Mandagni (Weak Digestive Fire): Use bitter, astringent, and pungent treatments along with emetics.

Age is classified into three stages: childhood, middle age, and old age. Among these, children are categorized into three types: those who are milk-fed, those who consume milk and food, and those who only consume food. Children who are exclusively milk-fed are considered to be in the first year. Children who consume milk and food are in the second year. Children who only consume food are categorized according to their age beyond two years. Middle age is considered to be between sixteen and seventy years. Within this range, aging is marked by: Growth at the age of twenty, Youthfulness at the age of thirty, Full development of all tissues, senses, strength, and vitality by forty, And decline from the age of fifty onwards. After seventy years, the body experiences gradual deterioration of tissues, senses, strength, and vitality, and it is said to be like a decrepit house that is worn out, covered in wrinkles, and afflicted by various ailments such as cough and breathlessness, rendering it incapable of performing its functions.
