आज्ञा त्यागः क्षमा धैर्यं विक्रमश्चाप्यमानुषः । तस्माद्देवमिवाभीक्ष्णं वाङ्मनःकर्मभिः शुभैः ॥११॥

Abandonment of orders, forgiveness, patience, and valor are attributes of a human being. Therefore, one should constantly, like a deity, perform virtuous actions with speech, mind, and deeds.

आज्ञा का त्याग, क्षमा, धैर्य और साहस ये मानव की विशेषताएँ हैं। इसलिए, किसी देवता के समान, व्यक्ति को निरंतर शुभ वाक्य, मन और कर्मों से पुण्य कार्य करना चाहिए।

चिन्तयेन्नृपतिं वैद्यः श्रेयांसीच्छन् विचक्षणः । स्कन्धावारे च महति राजगेहादनन्तरम् ॥१२॥

A wise physician, desiring the king’s well-being, should reflect on it and ensure his safety, especially after the king’s arrival at a grand palace or residence.

एक विवेकी वैद्य, जो नृप के कल्याण की इच्छा करता है, उसे नृप के किसी महत्त्वपूर्ण स्थान पर आगमन के बाद उसकी सुरक्षा पर विचार करना चाहिए।

भवेत्सन्निहितो वैद्यः सर्वोपकरणान्वितः । तत्रस्थमेनं ध्वजवद्यशःख्यातिसमुच्छ्रितम् ॥१३॥

The physician should remain stationed there, equipped with all necessary instruments and supplies, and be honored with a reputation akin to a triumphant banner.

वैद्य को वहाँ सभी आवश्यक उपकरणों और सामग्री के साथ स्थित रहना चाहिए, और उसे विजयध्वज के समान सम्मान और प्रसिद्धि प्राप्त होनी चाहिए।

उपसर्पन्त्यमोहेन विषशल्यामयार्दिताः । स्वतन्त्रकुशलोऽन्येषु शास्त्रार्थेष्वबहिष्कृतः ॥१४॥

Those who are afflicted by poison or other ailments and are approaching in confusion should be treated by a skilled physician who is independent and knowledgeable in the texts, and not excluded from their duties.

जो लोग विष या अन्य रोगों से पीड़ित हैं और भ्रमित होकर आ रहे हैं, उन्हें एक कुशल वैद्य द्वारा उपचारित किया जाना चाहिए जो स्वतंत्र और शास्त्रों में निपुण हो, और जिन्हें अपने कर्तव्यों से बाहर न रखा गया हो।

वैद्यो ध्वज इवाभाति नृपतद्विद्यपूजितः । वैद्यो व्याध्युपसृष्टश्च भेषजं परिचारकः ॥१५॥

A physician who is honored by the king and esteemed like a flag (symbol of victory) shines brightly. He should be approached by patients afflicted by disease, and must be well-versed in medicinal treatments and support.

जो वैद्य राजा द्वारा सम्मानित और ध्वज की तरह प्रमुख होता है, वह तेजस्वी प्रतीत होता है। उसे रोगों से पीड़ित मरीजों द्वारा अपनाया जाना चाहिए, और उसे औषधियों और उपचारों में पूरी जानकारी होनी चाहिए।
