तत्रैकः कालसंयुक्तः शेषा आगन्तवः स्मृताः | दोषागन्तुजमृत्युभ्यो रसमन्त्रविशारदौ ||७||

Among these, one type of death is due to natural causes, while the rest are considered to be due to external or traumatic causes. Those skilled in the knowledge of drugs and mantras should protect the king from both types of death.

रक्षेतां नृपतिं नित्यं यत्तौ वैद्यपुरोहितौ | ब्रह्मा वेदाङ्गमष्टाङ्गमायुर्वेदमभाषत ||८||

The king should be continuously protected by both the physician and the priest. Brahma, who spoke the Vedic texts, including the eight branches of Vedic literature and the science of medicine, revealed this knowledge.

Therefore, the physician should act subserviently to the priest. The confusion and destruction of all classes and their respective duties arise from this (when the physician does not follow this principle).
