द्वयोरन्यतरादाने वदन्ति विषदुग्धयोः । दुग्धस्यैकान्तहिततां विषमेकान्ततोऽहितम् ॥११॥

Some say that both poison and milk are either exclusively beneficial or harmful. Milk is exclusively beneficial, while poison is exclusively harmful.

Therefore, I will describe the substances that are harmful due to their combinations: One should not consume substances like newly sprouted grains, village water, ghee, and pulses mixed together. Milk should not be combined with rhubarb or curd. Do not consume milk with honey or with the herbs known as Balaka, Varuni, and Kulmasha. Avoid combining Kakamachi with Pippali and Maricha, and do not mix Nadi Bhang, chicken, or curd with these substances. Honey should not be consumed with hot water. Meat and milk should not be consumed together, nor should spirits or wine be combined with gruel. Avoid mixing sesame seeds with sour ingredients. Fish, especially with sugarcane juice, should be avoided. Do not combine jaggery with Kakamachi, honey with roots, or jaggery with wild boar. Milk should not be mixed with roots, mango, jambolan, or with porcupine or boar. All types of fish should not be combined with milk, especially Chilichima fish. Plantain fruit should not be mixed with Tala fruit, milk, or buttermilk. Lakuca fruit should not be combined with milk, curd, or meat soup, nor with honey or clarified butter.

अतः कर्मविरुद्धान् वक्ष्यामः- कपोतान् सर्षपतैलभृष्टान्नाद्यात्; कपिञ्जलमयूरलावतित्तिरिगोधाश्चैरण्डदार्व्यग्निसिद्धा एरण्डतैलसिद्धा वा नाद्यात्; कांस्यभाजने दशरात्रपर्युषितं सर्पिः; मधु चोष्णैरुष्णे वा; मत्स्यपरिपचने शृङ्गवेरपरिपचने वा सिद्धां काकमाचीं; तिलकल्कसिद्धमुपोदिकाशाकं; नारिकेलेन वराहवसापरिभृष्टां बलाकां; भासमङ्गारशूल्यं नाश्नीयादिति ॥१४॥

Therefore, I will describe the substances that are incompatible with the treatment: One should not consume pigeons that have been treated with mustard oil. Do not consume kapinjala, mayura, lava-tittiri, or godhaka if they are prepared with any of the following: eranda oil, or if they have been treated with fire and cooked in an iron vessel. Do not consume clarified butter that has been kept in a bronze container for ten nights. Honey should not be consumed with hot or heated substances. Avoid using kakamachi that has been cooked with fish or in a preparation with the juices of horns. Do not consume tilkalka-siddha or upodika-saka (greens). Avoid consuming balaka that has been treated with the juice of the wild boar and coconut. One should not eat foods that cause burning sensations or pain.
