sanskrit

In this context, for Paittika (conditions caused by aggravated pitta), a moderate (Sama) bandage should be applied in areas where a tight (Gāḍha) bandage is recommended, a loose (Śithila) bandage in areas for a moderate one, and no bandage at all in areas requiring a loose one. Similarly, for conditions involving vitiated blood (Śoṇita Duṣṭa), the same principles apply. For Kaphaja (conditions caused by aggravated kapha), a moderate bandage is applied in loose bandage areas, a tight bandage in moderate bandage areas, and an even tighter bandage in areas where a tight one is required. The same principle is applied in conditions caused by aggravated vāta.
