ततो धातुक्षयाज्जन्तुर्वेदनाभिश्च नश्यति । हते वैकल्यजनने केवलं वैद्यनैपुणात् ॥३८॥

Then, due to the decay of the bodily tissues, the being perishes from the pains; when injured, the only remedy is the skill of the physician.

फिर, शरीर के ऊतकों के क्षय के कारण, जीव वेदना से नष्ट हो जाता है; जब चोट लगती है, तो केवल उपचार का उपाय चिकित्सक की कुशलता है।
