Sushruta Samhita
भवतश्चात्र- हृदयं चेतनास्थानमुक्तं सुश्रुत ! देहिनाम् । तमोभिभूते तस्मिंस्तु निद्रा विशति देहिनम् ॥३४॥
O Suśruta! The heart is the seat of consciousness in living beings. When tamas prevails, sleep enters into the body.
english translation
हे सुश्रुत! हृदय जीवों में चेतना का स्थान है। जब तामस का प्रभाव होता है, तब निद्रा शरीर में प्रवेश करती है।
hindi translation
bhavatazcAtra- hRdayaM cetanAsthAnamuktaM suzruta ! dehinAm । tamobhibhUte tasmiMstu nidrA vizati dehinam ॥34॥
