दोषाभिघातैर्गर्भिण्या यो यो भागः प्रपीड्यते । स स भागः शिशोस्तस्य गर्भस्थस्य प्रपीड्यते ॥१७॥
Whatever part of the pregnant woman is afflicted by the doshas (the three fundamental bodily humors), that same part of the fetus is affected in the womb.

जिस भाग को गर्भवती महिला में दोषों (तीन मौलिक शारीरिक रस) द्वारा प्रभावित किया जाता है, वही भाग भ्रूण में भी गर्भ में प्रभावित होता है।
