स्वभावतो वा गुणविप्रहीनं विषं हि दूषीविषतामुपैति । वीर्याल्पभावान्न निपातयेत्तत् कफावृतं वर्षगणानुबन्धि ॥२६॥
Poison, by its very nature, or due to the absence of its qualities, turns into a harmful poison (dūṣīviṣa). If the potency is weak, it does not cause a fall (or collapse). However, when it is covered by phlegm and is associated with the rainy season or the effects of cold, it can lead to harm.
