संशोधनैस्तं च विशोधयेत्तु क्षारोत्तरैः क्षौद्रगुडप्रगाढैः । शुद्धे च तैलं त्ववचारणीयं विडङ्गपाठारजनीविपक्वम् ॥१६॥
One should purify it with appropriate purifications using alkaline substances, strong jaggery, and honey. Additionally, pure oil should be applied that is processed with well-ripened varieties of vidanga, patha, and arjuna.
