भार्याशतेन निर्विण्ण ऋषयोऽस्य कृपालवः । इष्टिं स्म वर्तयाञ्चक्रुरैन्द्रीं ते सुसमाहिताः ॥ ९-६-२६ ॥
Although Yuvanāśva went into the forest with his one hundred wives, all of them were very morose. The sages in the forest, however, being very kind to the King, began very carefully and attentively performing an Indra-yajña so that the King might have a son. ॥ 9-6-26 ॥
english translation
यद्यपि युवनाश्व अपनी एक सौ पत्नियों सहित जंगल में चला गया, किन्तु वे सभी अत्यन्त खिन्न थीं। तथापि जंगल के ऋषि राजा पर अत्यन्त दयालु थे, अतएव वे मनोयोगपूर्वक इन्द्रयज्ञ करने लगे जिससे राजा के पुत्र उत्पन्न हो सके। ॥ ९-६-२६ ॥

राजा तद्यज्ञसदनं प्रविष्टो निशि तर्षितः । दृष्ट्वा शयानान् विप्रांस्तान् पपौ मन्त्रजलं स्वयम् ॥ ९-६-२७ ॥
Being thirsty one night, the King entered the arena of sacrifice, and when he saw all the brāhmaṇas lying down, he personally drank the sanctified water meant to be drunk by his wife. ॥ 9-6-27 ॥
english translation
एक रात्रि को प्यासे होने के कारण राजा यज्ञशाला में घुस गया और जब उसने देखा कि सारे ब्राह्मण लेटे हुए हैं तो उसने अपनी पत्नी के पीने के लिए रखे हुए मंत्र से पवित्र किये गये जल को स्वयं पी लिया। ॥ ९-६-२७ ॥

उत्थितास्ते निशाम्याथ व्युदकं कलशं प्रभो । पप्रच्छुः कस्य कर्मेदं पीतं पुंसवनं जलम् ॥ ९-६-२८ ॥
When the brāhmaṇas got up from bed and saw the waterpot empty, they inquired who had done this work of drinking the water meant for begetting a child. ॥ 9-6-28 ॥

जब सारे ब्राह्मण जगे और उन्होंने देखा कि जलपात्र खाली है तो उन्होंने पूछा कि संतान उत्पन्न करने वाले जल को किसने पिया है? ॥ ९-६-२८ ॥

राज्ञा पीतं विदित्वाथ ईश्वरप्रहितेन ते । ईश्वराय नमश्चक्रुरहो दैवबलं बलम् ॥ ९-६-२९ ॥
When the brāhmaṇas came to understand that the King, inspired by the supreme controller, had drunk the water, they all exclaimed “Alas! The power of providence is real power. No one can counteract the power of the Supreme.” In this way they offered their respectful obeisances unto the Lord. ॥ 9-6-29 ॥

जब ब्राह्मणों को यह ज्ञात हुआ कि ईश्वर द्वारा प्रेरित होकर राजा ने जल पी लिया है तो उन्होंने विस्मित होकर कहा, “ओह! विधाता की शक्ति ही असली शक्ति है। ईश्वर की शक्ति का कोई भी निराकरण नहीं कर सकता।” इस तरह उन्होंने भगवान् को सादर नमस्कार किया। ॥ ९-६-२९ ॥

ततः काल उपावृत्ते कुक्षिं निर्भिद्य दक्षिणम् । युवनाश्वस्य तनयश्चक्रवर्ती जजान ह ॥ ९-६-३० ॥
Thereafter, in due course of time, a son with all the good symptoms of a powerful king came forth from the lower right side of King Yuvanāśva’s abdomen. ॥ 9-6-30 ॥
english translation
तत्पश्चात् कालक्रम से राजा युवनाश्व के उदर के दाहिनी ओर के निचले भाग से चक्रवर्ती राजा के उत्तम लक्षणों से युक्त एक पुत्र उत्पन्न हुआ। ॥ ९-६-३० ॥
