व्यलुम्पन् राजशिबिरममरा जयकाङ्क्षिणः । इन्द्रस्तु राजमहिषीं मातरं मम चाग्रहीत् ॥ ७-७-६ ॥
The victorious demigods plundered the palace of Hiraṇyakaśipu, the King of the demons, and destroyed everything within it. Then Indra, King of heaven, arrested my mother, the Queen. ॥ 7-7-6 ॥

विजयी देवताओं ने असुरराज हिरण्यकशिपु के महल को लूट लिया और उसके भीतर की सारी वस्तुएँ नष्ट-भ्रष्ट कर दीं। तब स्वर्ग के राजा इन्द्र ने मेरी माता को बन्दी बना लिया। ॥ ७-७-६ ॥

नीयमानां भयोद्विग्नां रुदतीं कुररीमिव । यदृच्छयाऽऽगतस्तत्र देवर्षिर्ददृशे पथि ॥ ७-७-७ ॥
As she was being led away, crying in fear like a kurarī captured by a vulture, the great sage Nārada, who at that time had no engagement, appeared on the scene and saw her in that condition. ॥ 7-7-7 ॥

जब इस प्रकार वे गृद्ध द्वारा पकड़ी गई कुररी पक्षी की भाँति भय से चिल्लाती हुई ले जाई जा रही थीं तो देवर्षि महर्षि नारद जो उस समय किसी भी कार्य में व्यस्त नहीं थे, घटनास्थल पर प्रकट हुए और उन्होंने उस अवस्था में उन्हें देखा। ॥ ७-७-७ ॥

प्राह मैनां सुरपते नेतुमर्हस्यनागसम् । मुञ्च मुञ्च महाभाग सतीं परपरिग्रहम् ॥ ७-७-८ ॥
Nārada Muni said: O Indra, King of the demigods, this woman is certainly sinless. You should not drag her off in this merciless way. O greatly fortunate one, this chaste woman is the wife of another. You must immediately release her. ॥ 7-7-8 ॥
english translation
नारद मुनि ने कहा : हे देवराज इन्द्र, यह स्त्री निश्चय ही पापरहित है। तुम्हें इसे इस तरह क्रूरतापूर्वक घसीटना नहीं चाहिए। हे परम सौभाग्यशाली, यह सती स्त्री किसी दूसरे की पत्नी है। तुम इसे तुरन्त छोड़ दो। ॥ ७-७-८ ॥

इन्द्र उवाच आस्तेऽस्या जठरे वीर्यमविषह्यं सुरद्विषः । आस्यतां यावत्प्रसवं मोक्ष्येऽर्थपदवीं गतः॥ ७-७-९ ॥
King Indra said: In the womb of this woman, the wife of the demon Hiraṇyakaśipu, is the seed of that great demon. Therefore, let her remain in our custody until her child is delivered, and then we shall release her. ॥ 7-7-9 ॥

राजा इन्द्र ने कहा : इस असुरपत्नी के गर्भ में उस असुर हिरण्यकशिपु का वीर्य है। अतएव इसे तब तक हमारे संरक्षण में रहने दें जब तक बच्चा उत्पन्न नहीं हो जाता। तब हम इसे छोड़ देंगे। ॥ ७-७-९ ॥

नारद उवाच अयं निष्किल्बिषः साक्षान्महाभागवतो महान् । त्वया न प्राप्स्यते संस्थामनन्तानुचरो बली ॥ ७-७-१० ॥
Nārada Muni replied: The child within this woman’s womb is faultless and sinless. Indeed, he is a great devotee, a powerful servant of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Therefore you will not be able to kill him. ॥ 7-7-10 ॥

नारद मुनि ने उत्तर दिया: इस स्त्री के गर्भ में स्थित बालक निर्दोष या निष्पाप है। निस्सन्देह, वह महान् भक्त तथा भगवान् का शक्तिशाली दास है। अतएव तुम उसे मार पाने में सक्षम नहीं होगे। ॥ ७-७-१० ॥
