तस्मादर्थाश्च कामाश्च धर्माश्च यदपाश्रयाः । भजतानीहयाऽऽत्मानमनीहं हरिमीश्वरम् ॥ ७-७-४८ ॥
The four principles of advancement in spiritual life — dharma, artha, kāma and mokṣa — all depend on the disposition of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Therefore, my dear friends, follow in the footsteps of devotees. Without desire, fully depend upon the disposition of the Supreme Lord, worship Him, the Supersoul, in devotional service. ॥ 7-7-48 ॥

आध्यात्मिक जीवन के चार सिद्धान्त—धर्म, अर्थ, काम तथा मोक्ष—भगवान् की रुचि पर आश्रित हैं। अतएव हे मित्रो, भक्तों के चरणचिन्हों का अनुगमन करो। बिना किसी प्रकार की इच्छा किये (निष्काम भाव से) परमेश्वर पर आश्रित रहकर भक्तिपूर्वक परमात्मा की पूजा करो। ॥ ७-७-४८ ॥
