Srimad Bhagavatam
तत्तु कालस्य दीर्घत्वात्स्त्रीत्वान्मातुस्तिरोदधे । ऋषिणानुगृहीतं मां नाधुनाप्यजहात्स्मृतिः ॥ ७-७-१६ ॥
Because of the long duration of time that has passed and because of her being a woman and therefore less intelligent, my mother has forgotten all those instructions; but the great sage Nārada blessed me, and therefore I could not forget them. ॥ 7-7-16 ॥
english translation
अधिक काल बीत जाने तथा स्त्री होने से अल्पज्ञ होने के कारण मेरी माता उन सारे उपदेशों को भूल गईं, किन्तु ऋषि नारद ने मुझे आशीर्वाद दिया था, अतएव मैं नहीं भूल पाया। ॥ ७-७-१६ ॥
