इन्द्रियाणि मनस्यूर्मौ वाचि वैकारिकं मनः । वाचं वर्णसमाम्नाये तमोङ्कारे स्वरे न्यसेत् । ओङ्कारं बिन्दौ नादे तं तं तु प्राणे महत्यमुम् ।। ७-१५-५३ ।।

sanskrit

The mind is always agitated by waves of acceptance and rejection. Therefore all the activities of the senses should be offered into the mind, which should be offered into one’s words. Then one’s words should be offered into the aggregate of all alphabets, which should be offered into the concise form oṁkāra. Oṁkāra should be offered into the point bindu, bindu into the vibration of sound, and that vibration into the life air. Then the living entity, who is all that remains, should be placed in Brahman, the Supreme. This is the process of sacrifice. ।। 7-15-53 ।।

english translation

मन स्वीकृति तथा अस्वीकृति की तरंगों से सदैव विक्षुब्ध होता रहता है। अतएव इन्द्रियों के सारे कार्यकलाप मन को अर्पित कर देना चाहिए और मन को अपने शब्दों में अर्पित कर देना चाहिए; फिर इन शब्दों को समस्त वर्णों के समूह में अर्पित करना चाहिए जिसे ओङ्कार के संक्षिप्त रूप को अर्पित कर दिया जाना चाहिए। ओङ्कार को बिन्दु में, बिन्दु को नाद में और उस नाद को प्राणवायु में समर्पित करना चाहिए। जो शेष रूप में जीव बचे उसे परम ब्रह्म में स्थापित करे। यही यज्ञ की विधि है। ।। ७-१५-५३ ।।
