ततोऽर्चायां हरिं केचित्संश्रद्धाय सपर्यया । उपासत उपास्तापि नार्थदा पुरुषद्विषाम् ॥ ७-१४-४० ॥
Sometimes a neophyte devotee offers all the paraphernalia for worshiping the Lord, and he factually worships the Lord as the Deity, but because he is envious of the authorized devotees of Lord Viṣṇu, the Lord is never satisfied with his devotional service. ॥ 7-14-40 ॥

कभी-कभी नवदीक्षित भक्त भगवान् की पूजा में सारी साज-सामग्री अर्पित करता है और वह वास्तव में भगवान् की पूजा अर्चाविग्रह के रूप में करता है लेकिन भगवान् विष्णु के अधिकृत भक्तों से ईर्ष्यालु होने के कारण भगवान् उसकी भक्ति से कभी प्रसन्न नहीं होते। ॥ ७-१४-४० ॥
