सुप्तिप्रबोधयोः सन्धावात्मनो गतिमात्मदृक् । पश्यन् बन्धं च मोक्षं च मायामात्रं न वस्तुतः ॥ ७-१३-५ ॥
During unconsciousness and consciousness, and between the two, he should try to understand the self and be fully situated in the self. In this way, he should realize that the conditional and liberated stages of life are only illusory and not actually factual. With such a higher understanding, he should see only the Absolute Truth pervading everything. ॥ 7-13-5 ॥

उसे अचेतना तथा चेतना अवस्थाओं में इन दोनों के बीच की अवस्था में अपने आपको समझने का प्रयत्न करना चाहिए और आत्म-स्थित होना चाहिए। इस प्रकार उसे यह अनुभव करना चाहिए कि जीवन की बद्ध तथा मुक्त अवस्थाएँ मात्र भ्रम हैं, वे वास्तविक नहीं हैं। ऐसे उच्च ज्ञान से उसे सर्वव्यापी परम सत्य का दर्शन करना चाहिए। ॥ ७-१३-५ ॥
