एवं तौ पार्षदौ विष्णोः पुत्रत्वं प्रापितौ दितेः । हृदि स्थितेन हरिणा वैरभावेन तौ हतौ ॥ ७-१०-३५ ॥
Thus the two associates of Lord Viṣṇu who had become Hiraṇyākṣa and Hiraṇyakaśipu, the sons of Diti, were both killed. By illusion they had thought that the Supreme Lord, who is situated in everyone’s heart, was their enemy. ॥ 7-10-35 ॥

इस प्रकार भगवान् विष्णु के दोनों पार्षद, जो दिति के पुत्र हिरण्याक्ष तथा हिरण्यकशिपु बने थे, मार डाले गये। भ्रमवश उन्होंने सोचा था कि हर एक के हृदय में निवास करने वाले परमेश्वर उनके शत्रु हैं। ॥ ७-१०-३५ ॥
