इति प्रत्युदिता याम्या दूता यात्वा यमान्तिके । यमराज्ञे यथा सर्वमाचचक्षुररिन्दम ।। ६-२-२१ ।।

My dear Mahārāja Parīkṣit, O subduer of all enemies, after the servants of Yamarāja had been answered by the order carriers of Lord Viṣṇu, they went to Yamarāja and explained to him everything that had happened. ।। 6-2-21 ।।

english translation

हे राजा परीक्षित! हे समस्त शत्रुओं के दमनकर्ता! जब यमराज के सेवकों ने विष्णुदूतों से उत्तर पा लिया, तो वे यमराज के पास गये और जो कुछ घटित हुआ था, सब कह सुनाया। ।। ६-२-२१ ।।

द्विजः पाशाद्विनिर्मुक्तो गतभीः प्रकृतिं गतः । ववन्दे शिरसा विष्णोः किङ्करान् दर्शनोत्सवः ।। ६-२-२२ ।।

Having been released from the nooses of Yamarāja’s servants, the brāhmaṇa Ajāmila, now free from fear, came to his senses and immediately offered obeisances to the Viṣṇudūtas by bowing his head at their lotus feet. He was extremely pleased by their presence, for he had seen them save his life from the hands of the servants of Yamarāja. ।। 6-2-22 ।।

english translation

यमराज के सेवकों के फन्दे से छुड़ा दिये जाने पर ब्राह्मण अजामिल अब भय से मुक्त होकर होश में आया और तुरन्त ही उसने विष्णुदूतों के चरणकमलों पर शीश झुकाकर उन्हें नमस्कार किया। वह उनकी उपस्थिति से अत्यन्त प्रसन्न था, क्योंकि उसने यमराज के दूतों के हाथों से उन्हें अपना जीवन बचाते देखा था। ।। ६-२-२२ ।।

तं विवक्षुमभिप्रेत्य महापुरुषकिङ्कराः । सहसा पश्यतस्तस्य तत्रान्तर्दधिरेऽनघ ।। ६-२-२३ ।।

O sinless Mahārāja Parīkṣit, the order carriers of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the Viṣṇudūtas, saw that Ajāmila was attempting to say something, and thus they suddenly disappeared from his presence. ।। 6-2-23 ।।

english translation

हे निष्पाप महाराज परीक्षित! पूर्ण पुरुषोत्तम भगवान् विष्णुदूतों ने देखा कि अजामिल कुछ कहना चाह रहा था, अत: वे सहसा उसके समक्ष से अन्तर्धान हो गये। ।। ६-२-२३ ।।

अजामिलोऽप्यथाकर्ण्य दूतानां यमकृष्णयोः । धर्मं भागवतं शुद्धं त्रैविद्यं च गुणाश्रयम् ।। ६-२-२४ ।।

sanskrit

After hearing the discourses between the Yamadūtas and the Viṣṇudūtas, Ajāmila could understand the religious principles that act under the three modes of material nature. These principles are mentioned in the three Vedas. He could also understand the transcendental religious principles, which are above the modes of material nature and which concern the relationship between the living being and the Supreme Personality of Godhead. ।। 6-2-24 ।।

english translation

यमदूतों तथा विष्णुदूतों के बीच हुए वार्तालापों को सुनकर अजामिल उन धार्मिक सिद्धान्तों को समझ सका जो भौतिक प्रकृति के तीन गुणों के अधीन कार्य करते हैं। ये सिद्धान्त तीन वेदों में उल्लिखित हैं। वह उन दिव्य धार्मिक सिद्धान्तों को भी समझ सका जो भौतिक प्रकृति के गुणों से ऊपर हैं और जो जीव तथा पूर्ण पुरुषोत्तम भगवान् के बीच के सम्बन्ध से सम्बन्धित हैं। ।। ६-२-२४ ।।

भक्तिमान् भगवत्याशु माहात्म्यश्रवणाद्धरे: । अनुतापो महानासीत्स्मरतोऽशुभमात्मन: ।। ६-२-२५ ।।

Furthermore, Ajāmila heard glorification of the name, fame, qualities and pastimes of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. He thus became a perfectly pure devotee. He could then remember his past sinful activities, which he greatly regretted having performed. ।। 6-2-25 ।।

english translation

इतना ही नहीं, अजामिल ने पूर्ण पुरुषोत्तम भगवान् के नाम, यश, गुणों तथा लीलाओं के गुणगान को सुना। इस तरह वह पूरी तरह शुद्ध भक्त बन गया। तब उसे अपने विगत पापकर्मों का स्मरण हुआ और उसे अत्यधिक पछतावा हुआ कि उसने ये पाप क्यों किये। ।। ६-२-२५ ।।
