Srimad Bhagavatam
द्वितीयं च तथा मासं षष्ठे षष्ठेऽर्भको दिने । तृणपर्णादिभिः शीर्णैः कृतान्नोऽभ्यर्चयद्विभुम् ॥ ४-८-७३ ॥
In the second month Dhruva Mahārāja ate only every six days, and for his eatables he took dry grass and leaves. Thus he continued his worship. ॥ 4-8-73 ॥
english translation
दूसरे महीने में महाराज ध्रुव छह-छह दिन बाद खाने लगे। शुष्क घास तथा पत्ते ही उनके खाद्य पदार्थ थे। इस प्रकार उन्होंने अपनी पूजा चालू रखी। ॥ ४-८-७३ ॥
