आत्ममायां समाविश्य सोऽहं गुणमयीं द्विज । सृजन् रक्षन् हरन् विश्वं दध्रे संज्ञां क्रियोचिताम् ।। ४-७-५१ ।।

sanskrit

The Lord continued: My dear Dakṣa Dvija, I am the original Personality of Godhead, but in order to create, maintain and annihilate this cosmic manifestation, I act through My material energy, and according to the different grades of activity, My representations are differently named. ।। 4-7-51 ।।

english translation

भगवान् ने कहा : हे दक्ष द्विज, मैं आदि भगवान् हूँ, किन्तु इस दृश्य जगत की सृष्टि, पालन तथा संहार के लिए मैं अपनी भौतिक शक्ति के माध्यम से कार्य करता हूँ और कार्य की भिन्न कोटियों के अनुसार मेरे भिन्न-भिन्न नाम हैं। ।। ४-७-५१ ।।

AtmamAyAM samAvizya so'haM guNamayIM dvija | sRjan rakSan haran vizvaM dadhre saMjJAM kriyocitAm || 4-7-51 ||
