तदुपश्रुत्य नभसि खेचराणां प्रजल्पताम् । सती दाक्षायणी देवी पितुर्यज्ञमहोत्सवम् ।। ४-३-५ ।।

The chaste lady Satī, the daughter of Dakṣa, heard the heavenly denizens flying in the sky conversing about the great sacrifice being performed by her father. ।। 4-3-5 ।।

english translation

दक्ष कन्या साध्वी सती ने आकाश मार्ग से जाते हुए स्वर्ग के निवासियों को परस्पर बातें करते हुए सुना कि उसके पिताद्वारा महान् यज्ञ सम्पन्न कराया जा रहा हैं। ।। ४-३-५ ।।

tadupazrutya nabhasi khecarANAM prajalpatAm | satI dAkSAyaNI devI pituryajJamahotsavam || 4-3-5 ||
