शब्दब्रह्मणि दुष्पारे चरन्त उरु विस्तरे । मन्त्रलिङ्गैर्व्यवच्छिन्नं भजन्तो न विदुः परम् ॥ ४-२९-४५ ॥
Despite the cultivation of Vedic knowledge, which is unlimited, and the worship of different demigods by the symptoms of Vedic mantras, demigod worship does not help one to understand the supreme powerful Personality of Godhead. ॥ 4-29-45 ॥
english translation
अनन्त वैदिक ज्ञान के अनुशीलन तथा वैदिक मंत्रों के लक्षणों से विभिन्न देवताओं की पूजा के बावजूद देव-पूजा से परम शक्तिशाली भगवान् को समझने में कोई सहायता नहीं मिलती। ॥ ४-२९-४५ ॥
