एतैरुपद्रुतो नित्यं जीवलोकः स्वभावजैः । न करोति हरेर्नूनं कथामृतनिधौ रतिम् ।। ४-२९-४१ ।।

sanskrit

Because the conditioned soul is always disturbed by the bodily necessities such as hunger and thirst, he has very little time to cultivate attachment to hearing the nectarean words of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. ।। 4-29-41 ।।

english translation

चूँकि बद्धजीव सदैव भूख तथा प्यास जैसी शारीरिक आवश्यकताओं से विचलित होता रहता है, अत: उसे भगवान् की अमृतवाणी सुनने का अनुराग उत्पन्न करने के लिए बहुत कम समय मिल पाता है। ।। ४-२९-४१ ।।
