तृप्तो हृष्टः सुदृप्तश्च कन्दर्पाकृष्टमानसः । न व्यचष्ट वरारोहां गृहिणीं गृहमेधिनीम् ॥ ४-२६-१३ ॥

sanskrit

: After taking his dinner and having his thirst and hunger satisfied, King Purañjana felt some joy within his heart. Instead of being elevated to a higher consciousness, he became captivated by Cupid, and was moved by a desire to find his wife, who kept him satisfied in his household life. ॥ 4-26-13 ॥

english translation

भोजन कर लेने तथा अपनी भूख और प्यास बुझा लेने के बाद पुरञ्जन को मन में कुछ प्रफुल्लता हुई। वह उच्चतर चेतना तक न पहुँच कर कामदेव द्वारा मोहित हो गया और उसे अपनी पत्नी को ढूँढने की इच्छा हुई जिसने उसे गृहस्थ जीवन में प्रसन्न कर रखा था। ॥ ४-२६-१३ ॥
