Srimad Bhagavatam
अन्धावमीषां पौराणां निर्वाक्पेशस्कृतावुभौ । अक्षण्वतामधिपतिस्ताभ्यां याति करोति च ॥ ४-२५-५४ ॥
Of the many inhabitants of this city, there are two persons named Nirvāk and Peśaskṛt. Although King Purañjana was the ruler of citizens who possessed eyes, he unfortunately used to associate with these blind men. Accompanied by them, he used to go here and there and perform various activities. ॥ 4-25-54 ॥
english translation
इस नगरी के अनेक निवासियों में निर्वाक् तथा पेशस्कृत नामक दो व्यक्ति थे। यद्यपि राजा पुरञ्जन आँख वाले व्यक्तियों (दिठियारों) का शासक था, किन्तु वह इन दोनों अंधों के साथ रहता था। वह उनके साथ जहाँ-तहाँ जाता था और नानाविध कार्य किया करता था। ॥ ४-२५-५४ ॥
