पुरा सृष्टा ह्योषधयो ब्रह्मणा या विशाम्पते । भुज्यमाना मया दृष्टा असद्भिरधृतव्रतैः ॥ ४-१८-६ ॥

My dear King, the seeds, roots, herbs and grains, which were created by Lord Brahmā in the past, are now being used by nondevotees, who are devoid of all spiritual understanding. ॥ 4-18-6 ॥

english translation

हे राजन्, प्राचीनकाल में ब्रह्मा ने जिन बीजों, मूलों, जड़ी-बूटियों तथा अन्नों की सृष्टि की थी वे अब उन अभक्तों द्वारा उपभोग किये जा रहे हैं, जो समस्त आत्म-ज्ञान से शून्य हैं। ॥ ४-१८-६ ॥
