तत्र तत्र गिरस्तास्ता इति विश्रुतविक्रमः । श्रोष्यत्यात्माश्रिता गाथाः पृथुः पृथुपराक्रमः ॥ ४-१६-२६ ॥

In this way, when the chivalrous activities of King Pṛthu come to be known to the people in general, King Pṛthu will always hear about himself and his uniquely powerful activities. ॥ 4-16-26 ॥

english translation

इस प्रकार जब इस राजा के वीरतापूर्ण कार्य जनता के समक्ष आ जाएँगे तो यह राजा अपने विषय में तथा अपने अद्वितीय पराक्रमपूर्ण कार्यों के विषय में सदैव सुनेगा। ॥ ४-१६-२६ ॥

दिशो विजित्याप्रतिरुद्धचक्रः स्वतेजसोत्पाटितलोकशल्यः । सुरासुरेन्द्रैरुपगीयमानमहानुभावो भविता पतिर्भुवः ॥ ४-१६-२७ ॥

No one will be able to disobey the orders of Pṛthu Mahārāja. After conquering the world, he will completely eradicate the threefold miseries of the citizens. Then he will be recognized all over the world. At that time both the suras and the asuras will undoubtedly glorify his magnanimous activities. ॥ 4-16-27 ॥

english translation

पृथु महाराज की आज्ञाओं का उल्लंघन कोई नहीं कर सकेगा। सारे जगत को जीतकर वह नागरिकों के तीनों तापों को समूल नष्ट करेगा। तब सारे जगत में उसको मान्यता प्राप्त होगी। तब सुर तथा असुर दोनों उसके उदार कार्यों की निस्सन्देह प्रशंसा करेंगे। ॥ ४-१६-२७ ॥
