नालं वयं ते महिमानुवर्णने यो देववर्योऽवततार मायया । वेनाङ्गजातस्य च पौरुषाणि ते वाचस्पतीनामपि बभ्रमुर्धियः ।। ४-१६-२ ।।

The reciters continued: Dear King, you are a direct incarnation of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Viṣṇu, and by His causeless mercy you have descended to this earth. Therefore it is not possible for us to actually glorify your exalted activities. Although you have appeared through the body of King Vena, even great orators and speakers like Lord Brahmā and other demigods cannot exactly describe the glorious activities of Your Lordship. ।। 4-16-2 ।।

english translation

गायकों ने आगे कहा : हे राजन्, आप भगवान् विष्णु के साक्षात् अवतार हैं और उनकी अहैतुकी कृपा से आप पृथ्वी पर अवतरित हुए हैं। अत: हममें इतनी सामर्थ्य कहाँ कि आपके महान् कार्यों का सही-सही गुणगान कर सकें? यद्यपि आप राजा वेन के शरीर से प्रकट हुए हैं, तो भी ब्रह्मा तथा अन्य देवताओं के समान बड़े-बड़े वाचक और वक्ता भी आपके महिमामय कार्यों का सही-सही वर्णन नहीं कर सकते। ।। ४-१६-२ ।।
