स शरासनमुद्यम्य मृगयुर्वनगोचरः । हन्त्यसाधुर्मृगान् दीनान् वेनोऽसावित्यरौज्जनः ।। ४-१३-४० ।।

sanskrit

After fixing his bow and arrow, the cruel boy used to go to the forest and unnecessarily kill innocent deer, and as soon as he came all the people would cry, “Here comes cruel Vena! Here comes cruel Vena!” ।। 4-13-40 ।।

english translation

वह दुष्ट बालक धनुष-बाण चढ़ाकर जंगल में जाता और वृथा ही निर्दोष (दीन) हिरनों को मार डालता। ज्योंही वह आता कि सभी लोग चिल्ला उठते, “वह आया क्रूर वेन! वह आया क्रूर वेन!” ।। ४-१३-४० ।।

sa zarAsanamudyamya mRgayurvanagocaraH | hantyasAdhurmRgAn dInAn veno'sAvityaraujjanaH || 4-13-40 ||
