येन स्वरोचिषा विश्वं रोचितं रोचयाम्यहम् । यथार्कोऽग्निर्यथा सोमो यथर्क्षग्रहतारकाः ॥ २-५-११ ॥
I create after the Lord’s creation by His personal effulgence [known as the brahmajyoti], just as when the sun manifests its fire, the moon, the firmament, the influential planets and the twinkling stars also manifest their brightness. ॥ 2-5-11 ॥

भगवान् द्वारा अपने निजी तेज (ब्रह्मज्योति) से की गई सृष्टि के बाद मैं उसी तरह सृजन करता हूँ जिस तरह कि सूर्य द्वारा अग्नि प्रकट होने के बाद चन्द्रमा, आकाश, प्रभावशाली ग्रह तथा टिमटिमाते तारे भी अपनी चमक प्रकट करते हैं। ॥ २-५-११ ॥

तस्मै नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय धीमहि । यन्मायया दुर्जयया मां ब्रुवन्ति जगद्गुरुम् ॥ २-५-१२ ॥
I offer my obeisances and meditate upon Lord Kṛṣṇa [Vāsudeva], the Personality of Godhead, whose invincible potency influences them [the less intelligent class of men] to call me the supreme controller. ॥ 2-5-12 ॥

मैं उन भगवान् कृष्ण (वासुदेव) को नमस्कार करता हूँ तथा उनका ध्यान करता हूँ, जिनकी दुर्जय शक्ति उन्हें (अल्पज्ञ मनुष्यों को) इस तरह प्रभावित करती है कि वे मुझे ही परम नियन्ता कहते हैं। ॥ २-५-१२ ॥

विलज्जमानया यस्य स्थातुमीक्षापथेऽमुया । विमोहिता विकत्थन्ते ममाहमिति दुर्धियः ॥ २-५-१३ ॥
The illusory energy of the Lord cannot take precedence, being ashamed of her position, but those who are bewildered by her always talk nonsense, being absorbed in thoughts of “It is I” and “It is mine.” ॥ 2-5-13 ॥

भगवान् की भ्रामिका शक्ति (माया) अपनी स्थिति से लज्जित होने के कारण सामने ठहर नहीं पाती, लेकिन जो लोग इसके द्वारा मोहित होते हैं, वे “यह मैं हूँ” और “यह मेरा है” के विचारों में लीन रहने के कारण व्यर्थ की बातें करते हैं। ॥ २-५-१३ ॥

द्रव्यं कर्म च कालश्च स्वभावो जीव एव च । वासुदेवात्परो ब्रह्मन् न चान्योऽर्थोऽस्ति तत्त्वतः ॥ २-५-१४ ॥
The five elementary ingredients of creation, the interaction thereof set up by eternal time, and the intuition or nature of the individual living beings are all differentiated parts and parcels of the Personality of Godhead, Vāsudeva, and in truth there is no other value in them. ॥ 2-5-14 ॥

सृष्टि के पाँच मूल अवयव शाश्वत काल द्वारा उनसे उत्पन्न अन्योन्य क्रिया तथा जीव का स्वभाव—ये सब भगवान् वासुदेव के भिन्नांश हैं और सच बात तो यह है कि उनका कोई अन्य महत्व नहीं है। ॥ २-५-१४ ॥

नारायणपरा वेदा देवा नारायणाङ्गजाः । नारायणपरा लोका नारायणपरा मखाः ॥ २-५-१५ ॥
The Vedic literatures are made by and are meant for the Supreme Lord, the demigods are also meant for serving the Lord as parts of His body, the different planets are also meant for the sake of the Lord, and different sacrifices are performed just to please Him. ॥ 2-5-15 ॥

सारे वैदिक ग्रंथ परमेश्वर से ही बने हैं और उन्हीं के निमित्त हैं। देवता भी भगवान् के शरीर के अंगों के रूप में उन्हीं की सेवा के लिए हैं। विभिन्न लोक भी भगवान् के निमित्त हैं और विभिन्न यज्ञ उन्हीं को प्रसन्न करने के लिए सम्पन्न किये जाते हैं। ॥ २-५-१५ ॥
