पातालमेतस्य हि पादमूलं पठन्ति पार्ष्णिप्रपदे रसातलम् । महातलं विश्वसृजोऽथ गुल्फौ तलातलं वै पुरुषस्य जङ्घे ।। २-१-२६ ।।
Persons who have realized it have studied that the planets known as Pātāla constitute the bottoms of the feet of the universal Lord, and the heels and the toes are the Rasātala planets. The ankles are the Mahātala planets, and His shanks constitute the Talātala planets. ।। 2-1-26 ।।

जिन पुरुषों ने इसकी अनुभूति की है, उन्होंने यह अध्ययन किया है कि पाताल लोक विराट पुरुष के पाँवों के तलवे हैं तथा उनकी एडिय़ाँ और पंजे रसातल लोक हैं। टखने महातल लोक हैं तथा उनकी पिंडलियाँ तलातल लोक हैं। ।। २-१-२६ ।।

The knees of the universal form are the planetary system of the name Sutala, and the two thighs are the Vitala and Atala planetary systems. The hips are Mahītala, and outer space is the depression of His navel. ।। 2-1-27 ।।

विश्व-रूप के घुटने सुतल नामक लोक हैं तथा दोनों जाँघें वितल तथा अतल लोक हैं। कटि-प्रदेश महीतल है और उसकी नाभि का गड्ढा बाह्य अन्तरिक्ष है। ।। २-१-२७ ।।

The chest of the Original Personality of the gigantic form is the luminary planetary system, His neck is the Mahar planets, His mouth is the Janas planets, and His forehead is the Tapas planetary system. The topmost planetary system, known as Satyaloka, is the head of He who has one thousand heads. ।। 2-1-28 ।।

विराट रूप वाले आदि पुरुष की छाती ज्योतिष्क (स्वर्ग) लोक है, उसकी गर्दन महर्लोक है, उसका मुख जन:लोक है और उसका मस्तक तप:लोक है। सर्वोच्च लोक, जिसे सत्यलोक कहते हैं, एक हजार सिरों (मस्तिष्कों) वाले उनआदि पुरुष का सिर है। ।। २-१-२८ ।।

His arms are the demigods headed by Indra, the ten directional sides are His ears, and physical sound is His sense of hearing. His nostrils are the two Aśvinī-kumāras, and material fragrance is His sense of smell. His mouth is the blazing fire. ।। 2-1-29 ।।

इन्द्र इत्यादि देवता उस विराट पुरुष की बाँहें हैं, दसों दिशाएँ उसके कान हैं और भौतिक ध्वनि उसकी श्रवणेन्द्रिय है। दोनों अश्विनीकुमार उसके नथने हैं तथा भौतिक सुगंध उसकी घ्राणेन्द्रिय है। उसका मुख प्रज्ज्वलित अग्नि है। ।। २-१-२९ ।।

The sphere of outer space constitutes His eyepits, and the eyeball is the sun as the power of seeing. His eyelids are both the day and night, and in the movements of His eyebrows, Brahmā and similar supreme personalities reside. His palate is the director of water, Varuṇa, and the juice or essence of everything is His tongue. ।। 2-1-30 ।।

बाह्य अन्तरिक्ष उसकी आँखों के गड्ढे हैं तथा देखने की शक्ति के लिए सूर्य नेत्र-गोलक हैं। दिन तथा रात पलकें हैं और उसकी भृकुटि की गतियों में ब्रह्मा तथा अन्य महापुरुषों का निवास होता है। जल का अधीश्वर वरुण उसका तालु तथा सभी वस्तुओं का रस या सार उसकी जीभ है। ।। २-१-३० ।।
